G. LARRY LARKIN

Larry was a letterman in football, basketball, and track at Ottawa High School. He also lettered in football, basketball, and track at Ottawa University.  Larry is a member of the Ottawa University Braves Athletic Hall of Fame.

Larry served twenty-one years in the United States Marine Corps as an aviation officer and helicopter pilot and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for action in the Republic of Vietnam, 1968.  

As a second career, Larry managed Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (Arizona), where he was named Arizona’s Airport Executive of the Year, 1992-93.  Under Larry’s leadership, Flagstaff Pulliam Airport was named Arizona’s Airport of the Year, 1996. Larry was designated a certified airport executive in 1994.

Larry is active as a Volunteer and Operations Leader for the Coconino County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Unit in Flagstaff, Arizona.  Larry was named the Sheriff’s Volunteer of the Year, 2008.  Larry was selected as the State of Arizona’s Search and Rescue Volunteer of the Year, 2014.

Larry is married to Margaret (Marge) Pahlman, OHS Class of 1955, and resides in Flagstaff, Arizona.  They have two children, Tina and Matthew.
