Food Service: There has been an extension for the COVID 19 school nutrition program in the state extending from the previous through the end of school year. This extension begins from May 15 – June 30th.
With this extension USD290 will be continuing to provide food service to any student who would like to receive it free of charge. If you have children in your home who are not students, they are also eligible to receive meals from us. I have attached a link to a google form for you to fill out. You will need to identify the names of the students receiving meals, where you intend to pick up the meals, and if you are rural, and need meals delivered, the address in which you reside. If you have questions, please contact the district office at 785 229-8010 ext 1021 (Melissa) or ext. 1178 (Dana). At the pick up sites (Lincoln, Garfield, Sunflower, and Eugene Field) our busses will be available as a Food Bus from 10:30 to 11:30. You will see them very clearly situated in the parking lot. There will be no need to get out of your car, we will simply make a drive through line. You can drive up to the bus and they will hand the meals to you through the window. If you are going to the OHS, you will need to go to the north parking lot. There will not be a bus there. There will be someone at the loading dock that goes into the kitchen ready to provide you your meals. Those that are having meals delivered can expect the same 10:30 to 11:30 time frame.
I have attached a link to a google form below. Please fill it out if you desire to receive these services May 15 – June 30th. If you are having trouble, please contact the numbers previously listed and they will help you out. All of us are working to make sure that our community is taken care of during this time.
Please fill out this form to receive meals for the first time (new to program) or to continue receiving meals.
