Cyclone Forensics

Forensics is an elective class at Ottawa High School that affords students the opportunity to compete extracurricularly. The class is offered in the spring semester. Forensics consists of nine different events including: prose, poetry, informative, oration, humorous solo, serious solo, extemporaneous speaking, improvised duet acting, duet acting and impromptu speaking. Students prepare these events individually or with a partner and begin competing in February through May. Invitational tournaments are held on Saturdays. Students also compete in Qualifiers towards the end of the season that are held on weeknights. State Championship competition is the first week in May.
