Dear senior families,
Each year generous donors within the Ottawa community provide more than 30 scholarships and thousands of dollars to Ottawa High School seniors through our local scholarship program. Scholarships within the program range from $200 - $3,000 and eligibility requirements vary for students planning on attending 4 year institutions, 2 year institutions, and vocational or technical programs.
The application window opens on February 4, 2022. Application links to all scholarships will be posted on the OHS Counseling Department website at that time. Students should pay close attention to due dates as many applications are due by March 31, 2022; however, some scholarships have an earlier due date.
A full list of scholarships and their requirements can be found on the OHS Counseling Department website under the ‘Scholarship Programs’ tab. Additional information on other non-local scholarships and resources is also provided on the website.
Your student will also receive this scholarship presentation in their Advisory class of February 4th, which outlines all the information for the program.
Scholarships will be awarded during Senior Awards Night on May 18, 2022. More details and information regarding this event will be provided in the coming months.
