Dear Ottawa Middle School Parents and Students,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at Ottawa Middle School. We are excited to get a new year started and wanted to make sure you have some important information as we move into August.
Online enrollment will be open mid to late July. Be watching your email and social media for open enrollment.
August 1 is enrollment from 9:00-12:00 and 2:00-5:00.
August 14th is a half day for all 6th grade students and any new 7th or 8th grade students, returning students do not need to attend.
Bring charged Chromebooks and school supplies on August 15th for the first full day of school.
7th and 8th grade students participating in fall sports need to have physicals and athletic paperwork before they can participate in practice. Please turn forms in by August 14th.
School promptly starts at 7:45 each school day. The doors open at 7:20. Students can go to breakfast or to their team room prior to the start of class.
Student schedules are currently being finalized and should be ready to open for viewing the week of August 7th. If you identify any errors, please contact a counselor or administrator and we can help you get those items corrected.
OMS will have a Back-to-School Night on August 23 from 5:30-6:30. This will be a come-and-go event where students and parents can pop into classrooms and be welcomed by staff.
Ottawa Middle School will be communicating with the community, parents, and students more often in a digital format to keep you informed of upcoming events. Please check your email regularly and like us on Facebook.

Aug 1: Enrollment for new students from 9-12 and 2-5
Aug 15: Full day of school for all students (class starts promptly at 7:45)
