10/9 League Cross Country Results: Our OMS Cross Country teams wrapped up an incredible season with strong finishes across the board! 7th Grade Girls dominated the course: - Corynn Osborne raced to 5th at the invitational and 3rd in league - Jackie Robinson finished 9th at the invitational and 6th in league - Kenlie Derhammer placed 12th and 8th. Their hard work paid off as the 7th Grade Girls were crowned League Champions! 🏆 7th Grade Boys: - Santiago Guerrero ran a strong race, finishing 8th in the league! 8th Grade Girls: Kielee Entress came in with a 4th-place finish at the invitational and in league! What a season for our Whirlwind Cross Country team — full of grit, teamwork, and top finishes! 💪👏

10/1: Cross Country Results at Basehor-Linwood: 7th girls: - Jackie Robinson 3rd - Corynn Osborn 4th - Kenlie DerHammer 8th - Vivian Payne 10th The 7th-grade girls finished second as a team. 7th boys: - Santiago Guerrero 8th 8th Girls - Kielee Entress 3rd Absolutely ecstatic and pridefully bursting for our unstoppable Whirlwind cross-country team and their incredible dedication! Tonight we celebrated our 8th. Grade Football and Cheer parents. The Whirlwinds took on Louisburg. 7th grade fell 0-30 while 8th grade came out with a victory. 16-0. Our cheerleaders debuted a new dance routine and entertained fans during both halftimes. #whirlwindpride

Whirlwind Activities: September 29-October 4

Tonight we celebrated our 8th Grade Volleyball Parents. We appreciate all that parents to do to help our students be active Whirlwinds! Both 7th and 8th grade Varsity and Jv teams played hard tonight but fell to Woodland Springs.

Homecoming Spirit Week: October 3-9

9/23: OMS hosted Spring Hill for football, and appreciated everyone who came out to cheer on the Whirlwinds—even in the rain! 7th Grade: The boys stayed undefeated with a dominant 42–6 WIN! 8th Grade: Tough battle that didn’t swing our way (14–6 L), but our guys continue to grind, compete hard, and represent OMS with pride! 9/20: Central Heights Instructional Volleyball Tournament Our 8th grade instructional girls battled their way to a 2nd place finish! Our 7th grade instructional girls fought hard, taking every match to three sets! Proud of the heart, hustle, and teamwork from both Whirlwind squads!
