University of Kansas (B.A.):  1962

University of Kansas School of Medicine (1966)

After two years of internship and residency, Dr. Gollier joined the armed services, serving in the Republic of Viet Nam and at Fort Riley.

Following his military service, the need for doctors in Ottawa was critical so he answered the call of his father, Dr. Robert A. Gollier and Dr. David Laury to return and join them as charter members of Ottawa Family Physicians.  He has practiced medicine in Ottawa since 1970.

Following the example of the preceding generation, Dr. Gollier has lived a life of service to his community.  He has been a leader in Ottawa's Baptist Church and served 10 years on the USD #290 Board of Education, four of those as chief negotiator for the school board in contract talks with the Ottawa Education Organization.

In addition, Dr. Gollier served as district counselor for the Kansas Medical Society and has been a state leader in promoting rural primary care.  He was honored at the annual meeting of the state society in 1995 with a resolution recognizing his service to Kansas medicine.  Since 1990, he has been on the faculty of the University of Kansas Medical School, serving as rural preceptor for senior medical students.

Dr. Gollier and his wife, Mary Lynn have three children:  Robert, John, and Sara.
