Ja'Veon Shepherd and Nate Sims both advance to the finals in the 200m. At State. Ja'Veon posted the 2nd fastest time today, with a 22.43s. He was only .03 seconds behind the leader. Sims finished 5th overall with a 22.66s. Finals are tomorrow.

Coaches have raved about how much Peyton Hiracheta has improved this season due to her hard work and dedication. She capitalized on it with a trip to State. Unfortunately she doesn't advance to finals in the 200m, but what a season she has had.
She will run the 100 tomorrow.
A great start for the Cyclones today at the State Track Meet as the boys 4 x 100m relay team advances to finals tomorrow with a time of 43.94s.

TRACK STATE SEND OFF
On Fri at 9:00am, the Cyclone State Qualifiers in track & field will be headed to the State Meet. If you would like to wish them well, head downtown as they will be escorted by OPD and OFD down Main Street just after 9:00am as they head to Wichita.

The boys 4x400m relay team nearly misses out on a regional championship, but is headed to State with a 2nd place finish. The team includes Ja'Veon Shepherd, Tate Wilks, Jesse Brown, and Nate Sims. Well done, guys!

Zion Woodin dominated the field at regionals today in Chanute by winning 2 events and is headed to State. Zion won the Shot Put and the Discus and will head to state next week in Wichita.

Peyton Hiracheta punches her ticket to State today in two events. Peyton was the Regional Champion in the 100m with a time of 12.76". She also finished 3rd in the 200m. Great meet, Peyton!

Emery Keebaugh adds to her 2 league titles last week with 2 regional titles today in Chanute by winning the long jump and triple jump. In the triple jump she breaks her own school record with a jump of 38' 5 1/2" and is headed to State.
