USD 290 is excited to have Maddie Jones as the next head girls tennis coach for OHS. Coach Jones was an assistant coach last season and will take over as head coach in 2022. Coach Jones played in college at Ottawa University and has taught private lessons in the past.

Ten OHS vocal music students were part of All-State Honor Choirs who performed Friday at the Kansas Choral Directors Association convention in Topeka. Congratulations to students Morgan Brown, Laynee Dillon, Channing Haas, Lydia Mayo, Sara Orr, Ava Thompson, Chloe Wilson, Xander Mason, Ethan Monson and Axavier Vink. Xander received his four-year medal for being selected all four years of high school.

The OHS band is working on their leadership skills as they attend the Leadership Symposium at Blue Valley North High School today. School may be out, but the learning never stops for our Cyclones.
It’s been a busy 2 days as OHS students Emma Janssen, Maggie Howard, Jenny Van Staden and sponsor Carrie Shaffer represent OHS at the National HOSA Leadership Conference. The girls have learned about leadership, health careers, and collaborated with students around the country.
