The Ottawa girls wrestling team also competed in the league double dual tonight with Eudora / Tonganoxie. The ladies wrestled well. Team dual scores are not kept, however, because most schools have multiple open weight classes due to wrestling only being in its 2nd year in Kansas
What do you do after going 2-0 in wrestling tonight? You tear down the gym and pick up trash in the bleacher so the custodians don’t have to in the morning. Thank you Coach Weidl, wrestlers, and parents! OHS is a special place.

The #8 ranked Ottawa Cyclones wrestling team defeats the #3 ranked Tonganoxie Chieftains in a dual tonight at OHS. The match came down to a 36-36 tie, but the Cyclones win by tie breaker rules. Great wrestling by both teams. Well done Cyclones!
