These students came in on their day off to engage in an ACT Prep class!


Our Aviation I & II classes visited Dodson Aviation earlier this week. Students were able to connect their learning from the classroom while exploring some career options in the field of Aviation.

Aubrey Vasquez and Kymberly Glavin-Culbertson placed 7th in duet.
Ainsley Curry placed 3rd in both poetry and SSA.

Last weekend these students participated at KMEA state band or choir with students from all over Kansas. Congratulations Riley Bacon, Abby Toomey, Grace Wooge & Quinncy Morris.


Congratulations to our Pizza Time fans of the game! Boy did our student section show up loud & proud tonight!!! We hope to see all of you plus more on Saturday for the Championship game!!!



Wow! It was loud tonight as the community showed up to support the Cyclones! We hope to see you Saturday at 6pm as the Cyclones host the winner for Fort Scott or Independence.


Thank you Communities In Schools for organizing an interview day for our Seniors to practice their skills! We are thankful for all the community members who volunteered their time to make this event possible!

FFA Results from today:
Aaron Campbell won a Proficiency Award in Ag Sales and Service; his application will go to state.
Caroline Wingert was slated for an office; we will find out at District FFA banquet which office she gets.
Caroline Wingert, Jodie Belts, McKenna Schulz, Raylee Jones and Josiah Jahn applications for State Degree were approved on the district level; they will go on to state for final approval.

OHS Chess Club competed in Topeka on 2/29. Pictured left to right: John Aquino, Joseph Sutton, Daniel Jenkins, Walker Everett. Each player earned 2 or more points each, played some tough games, and earned 4th place as a team. Daniel and Walker joined the ranks of OHS students qualified for State Chess at ESU on March 14!


132 Collin finishes the year 33-5 & as the 4A runner up losing to Martin of Paola 5-0.

182 5th place finisher Daidrien Aho on the medal stand.


182 Daidrien Aho won by decision over Storm Slupianek of Marysville 1-0. Daidrien finishes his sr year @ 27-10 & a 5th place finish @ the KSHSAA 4A state tournament.


182 Daidrien Aho loses by fall to Branden Martin of Piper. Earned a spot on the medal stand & will wrestle for 5th place.


Daidrien Aho over Jon Meek of Mulvane 3-2. Daidrien advances to medal round and will wrestle Branden Martin of KC Piper. Will earn 3-6th place.
